Lemonade

Hello.
I realised when I sat down to craft that I have run out of double sided tape, so I can't really stick things too well. I've had to do my best using glue, which doesn't really work for me. Here's what I've come up with though.

Photos from Ireland

Hello.
No cards for the moment, but I might be back with one later. I just thought I'd share with you a few pictures from my week in Ireland. First off here are the three beautiful beaches we visited. Murvagh, Fintra and Rossnowlagh.

My Auntie has got all the family into crabbing, so now every time we go to Ireland we end up at Mount Charles. We do put all the crabs back into the sea once the bucket has been filled.

Here are half of us drinking Guiness at the famous pub Biddy O'Barnes.

And finally a view of the sunset from the house we stayed in. During the night you get a gorgeous view of the stars from here as the nearest town is so far away there is no light pollution.

Have a mice day!

Hello.
I got back from my week in Ireland at aroung 12:30 am on Tuesday. I've been busy the last couple of days so here is my first card since coming back. It's made using this weeks freebies from Delightful Inspiration. I split the text in two so that it would fit inside the image and printed it straight onto the card. Really simple and quick to make. I will try and get a few pictures from my trip posted tomorrow.

Monday 26th

Hello.
Todays card uses the 'Bubble Greetings' set by Elzybells. I took the inspiration for this from the design which was on the back of the stamps packaging.

Sunday 25 July 2010

Sunday 25th

Hello.
Today's card is based on an old CPS sketch, number 144. I moved the shapes around a little though. The paper is from the set I bought in the Japanese shop at Epcot, and the stamped image is from 'Oriental 3' by Habico.

Saturday 24th

Hello.
This is my first attempt at an exploding box. I haven't decorated the inside yet so there are only pictures of the outside. I will finish it when I get back and share more pictures. I have mentioned before that one of my best friends birthdays is close to Halloween. Inside this I will be adding pictures from her last couple of birthdays and giving it to her as a present.
Here is a closer shot to show the image on the lid.

Friday 23rd

Hello.
A couple of summer themed cards and a bookmark today using Elzybells stamps (again). First here is the beach set, made using 'Mini Messages - At The Beach'.
This second card uses 'Mini Messages - Summertime'.

Thursday 22 July 2010

Thursday 22nd

Hello.
Another Elzybells Christmas card today. This one uses two stamps from the 'Mini Messages - Winter' set.

Wednesday 21 July 2010

Wednesday 21st

Hello.
My stamps from the Elzybells closing down sale came so I had to play with them while I had chance before I went away. This one is really quick and simple so it can be easily reproduced. The image is from the 'Cold Nose Warm Heart' set, but the sentiment in that set was too long for the piece of card so I used the one from 'Mini Messages - Winter'

Tuesday 20 July 2010

Tuesday 20th

Hello.
A pair of Christmas cards today. They both use an iris folding template. The template was used to sponge the trees onto the second card, and then the template was sponged all over the go on the first card.

Monday 19 July 2010

Monday 19th

Hello.
Today I am not really here. I am currently travelling to Ireland, so this post and the posts for the next week will be scheduled. The first few posts will be the five cards which finish the ten Christmas cards for July and the rest will just be random.

Today's card is fairly simple as I wanted the background to be seen. It was embossed using my cuttlebug. I added some heart shaped gems to the centre of the larger snowflakes. The 'Joy' chipboard is from a packet I have had for a while, but I don't have the label for it anymore.

DI Chick

Hello.
Here is my card using this weeks Delightful Inspirations freebie.

Keyboards

Hello.
This card is made using Kenny K's freebie for July. Thank you Rebekka for sharing the link to his blog.

Saturday 17 July 2010

Flowers

Hello.
The green circle on this was an experiment with my new watercolour paper. I used my watercolour markers to scribble patches of two different greens, a yellow and a light brown then mixed them with the blender. I quite like the end result, although I've covered most of it. The image was the freebie on Delightful Inspirations at the start of June.

Thursday 15 July 2010

Lovebirds

Hello.
A couple of small cards to share today. This first card measures 3"x4". The image and sentiment are from different stamp sets by Papermania. The image is from 'Sweet Nothings' and the sentiment is from 'Scrumptious'.
This second one measures 2"x2 3/4". Both shapes were cut using my cuttlebug. The sentiment is from 'Worth Repeating' by Stampology.

Happy birthday Michael!

Hello.
Today my brother turns 25. I shared on Monday the card James and I are sending so today I am sharing the one from my parents. I'm not entirely sure of the reasons behind it, but my brother is a Holland supporter. As you may know they recently lost the world cup. When I asked my mum what she wanted on her card, this was her suggestion. I don't really know why she would want to remind him of their losing, but I'm sure he will see the funny side of it. The deflated football is also on the inside of the card.

- The sentiment is stamped using an alphabet by Studio G.

Friend

Hello.
Here is my card using this weeks Delightful Inspiration freebie. I got the image coloured a couple of days back but only just made this quick card to use it on because I thought I wasn't going to get posted in time. Now I realise I have another day, but here it is anyway.

Tuesday 13 July 2010

Thank you

Hello.
Over the weekend James' parents, sister and brother in-law have been staying in a caravan. On Saturday night James and I went up to join them. We had a lovely evening watching the karaoke, playing in the arcade and then playing Uno. On Sunday his sister and brother in-law had to go home early, so we went with his parents to Bridlington. We had a great day. I used a few pictures from our trip to make this thank you card for James' parents. The sentiment is on a piece of acetate which can be lifted to view the pictures clearer.

Monday 12 July 2010

Magic the Gathering

Hello.
Thursday is my brother's birthday and I need to get a couple of cards made for him. I was struggling with ideas until James mentioned Magic the Gathering, which him and my brother play together. I took a picture of the backs of a few cards and used that as the background on my card. They have a brown oval in the middle, and red dots in the corner so I used them as inspiration. Now I just need to make one for my parents to send.
On the inside I have stamped five circles which are the colours of decks in the game.
- The large alphabet is 'Bold Alpha' by Elzybells
- The small alphabet is by Studio G

Sunday 11 July 2010

I heart U

Hello.
A little gift set to share today. The card is stamped using 'Love You Teds' by Elzybells. The bookmark uses 'Teddy Heart' also by Elzybells, and then I added the butterflies from the larger image. The cards corners were looking a little empty so I added the pearls.

Saturday 10 July 2010

Special to me

Hello.
These two guys have been cut, coloured and waiting to go on a card for a while now. I found them while I was rooting through my box of cut out images. The Gorilla is popped up on one foam pad and the Monkey is on two.
- The papers are from the 'Spring Burst' 6x6 pad by Papermania
- The images are from the 'Jungle Buddies' stamp set by Kanban
- The sentiment is from the 'Piggy' stamp set in the Honey and Hugs range by Papermania

Friday 9 July 2010

Belated birthday

Hello.
Here is the second card using those flowers. This time I layered two on top of each other using foam pads and stuck a button in the middle to add interest. On the inside there are two of the smaller flowers and I will be adding a Happy Birthday sentiment when I find the one I want to use.- The wood effect paper is from 'Just Chillin Girls' 6x6 pad by Making Memories
- The three other papers are from 'Wild Asparagus' 6x6 pad by My Mind's Eye
- The flowers are from 'Retro Flowers Heads' by Papermania
- The sentiment is from 'Birthday Fun' by Inkadinkado

Thursday 8 July 2010

Retro flowers

Hello.
A little while back I was given these paper flowers by my FMIL so I challenged myself to make a card with them. I have done two so far, I will be sharing the other one later.
- The paper is from 'Pocket Full of Posies' 8x8 pad by DCWV.
- The flowers are 'Retro Flower Heads' by Papermania.
- The sentiment is from 'Cute Characters set 1' by Personal Impressions.

Someone special

Hello.
A quick CAS card. I drew this sketch which was meant to be horizontal, but by the time I came to making the card I decided it looked better vertical.
- The papers are all from the 'Just Chillin Girls' 6x6 pad by Making Memories.
- The sentiment is from 'Cute Characters set 1' by Personal Impressions.

Christmas in July part 1

Hello.
I spent most of yesterday making Christmas cards. First I finished the ten from last month, then I made five of this one to be the first half of this months. I coloured the image using pencil crayons, which is not something I do often.

- The image is 'Mary and Joseph' and the sentiment is 'Blessings at Christmas'. Both by Elzybells.

Monday 5 July 2010

Wish

Hello.
I made this card using the latest freebie from Delightful Inspiration and this weeks CPS sketch. The papers came in the package I received from Christy's challenge.

Sunday 4 July 2010

TUIC Challenge

Hello.
Tammy is hosting our current challenge, which is to alter some patterned paper. Here is the card I have made. I altered the paper by adding the butterflies and colouring parts of it.

Here is how the paper looked originally.

Happy Aniversary!

Hello.
Today is my parents anniversary. I shared recently the card my Mum has sent to my Dad and now I am going to show you the one's they will both be receiving. The sugar packets on this one are from Coffee Revolution. I saved them because both my parents have the initials CR so they were perfect for this card. This is being sent by my brother and his girlfriend.
This is the one James and I will be sending.
- The paper is from a DCWV 8x8 pad. (I'm not sure which one as I no longer have the cover.)
- The letters are 'Shimmer Alpha White' by Making Memories.

Friday 2 July 2010

Congratulations!

Hello.
My cousin and her boyfriend recently got their results back from their college exams. My cousin got three distinctions and finished top of her class, and her boyfriend got one distinction and two merits. They both got more than what they needed to get onto the university course that they wanted, so some congratulations were in order.

This card is the one James and I have sent to my cousin. She also received the 'You Are Special' card from this post, sent by my parents.
Her boyfriend has a similar sense of humour to James so I knew what stamp I needed on a card for him.

Parent's Anniversary

Hello.
Sorry I disappeared for a few days, but I am back now. The fourth of July is my parents anniversary. My Dad will be in Kazakhstan though, so my Mum asked me for a card to slip into his bag. I don't have any anniversary stamps so I had to see what I could use instead. Here is what I have made for her.- All papers are from the 'Honey and Hugs' 8x8 pad by Papermania.
